Equilateral develops and markets a complete suite of software tools for wireless network engineering for both commercial and military applications. Our technology enables wireless operators to design and optimize their networks efficiently, with minimal capital expenditure in infrastructure, and with a high grade of service.

Equilateral’s network planning tools are flexible and robust enough to optimize and plan the most complex networks. Our software can handle networks that include a combination of services (voice, data, and/or video) and that use multiple-technologies. Examples of systems we model include CDMA2000, EV-DO, UMTS, OFDM, TDMA, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, and WiMAX.

Our suite of tools includes:

  • Broadband-eQ™– an advanced tool for the planning, deployment, and optimization of fixed wireless networks.
  • AerialView™– an interactive application designed for engineers, students, and others interested in the analysis and visualization of antenna radiation patterns.
  • TxView™– a sophisticated wireless propagation and coverage visualization tool.

These tools are powered by:

  • SME™ – a computational engine performing assignments and deconfliction of frequencies for point-to-point, and point-to-multipoint broadband wireless networks.
  • ACSEL™ – a computational engine for automated channel selection that produces optimum, implementation ready frequency plans.
  • OPSEL™– a computational engine that provides rapid, accurate coverage and capacity analysis of CDMA based systems.
  • ICE™– a computational engine that provides fast, precise interference, capacity and throughput analysis of wireless systems, taking into account the specific attributes of the physical layer and access technology being used in the network. ICE is capable of handling multiple technology types within a single network.
