Equilateral Technologies, a leading provider of wireless optimization solutions, today announced that it has been issued a United States patent covering its algorithm for processing antenna radiation patterns. The new patent, No. 7,535,425, entitled “Method and System for Generating Three-Dimensional Antenna Radiation Patterns”, enables more accurate generation of patterns than previously possible.
“Equilateral’s method for generating 3D antenna radiation patterns from 2D cross sections represents an important step in increasing the accuracy of RF propagation prediction tools”, said Dr. Donna Fagen, CTO of Equilateral Technologies. “This new nonlinear algorithm mitigates, and in most cases eliminates, the artifacts produced by other methods. The new method is fast, yields smooth, more realistic surfaces that are consistent with the vertical and horizontal cuts, exhibits diminished mathematical artifacts, and improves the accuracy of propagation calculations of RF signals. ”
This new method is the latest feature added to AerialView, Equilateral’s antenna visualization and analysis tool.
